About the position

Our Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working on Mobile/Web solutions ensuring that we provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for scoping, designing, and building scalable, resilient distributed systems. You will build product definitions and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solution. Engaging in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle is essential, as is leading design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization. You will define, create, and support reusable application components and patterns from both a business and technology perspective. Utilizing programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, Python, C#, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services, will be part of your daily tasks. Mentoring other engineers and consistently sharing best practices to improve processes within and across teams will also be key responsibilities. You will utilize developer tooling across the software development life cycle to perform advanced-level Mobile/Web/UI design, implementation, and maintenance activities under minimal direction.

Requirements

  • Fluency and specialization with at least two modern languages such as Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX, Dart, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Proven understanding of micro-services architecture and extensible REST APIs
  • Experience in leveraging PowerShell scripting
  • Fluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational Framework
  • Experience in existing Operational Portals such as Azure Portal
  • Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments
  • Experience in Datacenter structure, capabilities, and offerings, including the Azure platform and its native services
  • Experience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
  • Experience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc)
  • In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
  • Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience with Architecture components and Navigation Architecture Components
  • Experience in Application Frameworks
  • Experience with Gradle
  • Experience with Android Studio, VS Code, or a similar IDE
  • Experience in Risk assessment
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both senior leadership and highly technical personnel
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
