About the position

MAXISIQ is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office. This full-time position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to translate operational mission requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements, facilitating the prototyping of HMIF Armor and Infantry BCT formations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational mission requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements.
• Serve as the bridge between the HMIF pilot and the operational requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, schedule, and provide engineering and technical support activities applicable to systems development and capability integration.
• Manage communications between the Mission Engineering working group and engineering working groups.
• Collect information and RFIs from engineering groups and format the information as required.
• Translate operational vignettes, CONOPS, and mission threads into engineering scope.
• Provide expertise in linking operational vignettes, CONOPS, and mission threads into modeling and simulations environments.
• Prepare recommendations, updates, and/or briefings for the Mission Engineering Working Group Leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Active Secret clearance.
• 4 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience in DoD acquisition programs.
• Experience with evaluating projects using different methods to determine cost-effective solutions.
• Hands-on experience applying systems engineering and integration principles across hardware and software systems.
• Experience with DoD acquisition process and authoring DoD acquisition documentation including systems engineering plans and Performance Based Specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel, and knowledgeable in MS Project.

Nice-to-haves

• Army experience preferred.
• Recent engineering experience with platforms and C4ISR systems.
• Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.
• Superior writing skills for developing technical system-level specifications.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering briefings on complex topics to senior leaders.
• Ability to work on multi-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.
