About the position

The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional plays a crucial role in implementing and operating the company's data governance program, ensuring the highest standards of data quality. This position is tasked with addressing moderately complex to complex issues, requiring a thorough analysis of various factors affecting data integrity and governance. The professional will oversee data usage, system analysis, and data retention practices to maintain compliance with established data quality standards. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional will work closely with various departments to ensure consistency and quality of data across the organization. This position is also responsible for contributing to the development of data governance policies and standards, maintaining comprehensive documentation, compiling reports on metrics, and conducting benchmarking activities to identify trends and patterns in data usage. The professional will begin to influence departmental strategies and will make decisions on complex issues regarding the technical approaches for project components, all while working independently and exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and operate the company's data governance program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience with data governance.
  • Working knowledge of Data Stewardship responsibilities, including metadata and access management.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, highly visible programs with multiple project teams.
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with SQL.
