About the position

The Senior Facility Manager at SP+ is responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility, ensuring that all aspects of service delivery meet the company's high standards. This role requires effective leadership, the development of strong client relationships, and a commitment to superior customer service. The Senior Facility Manager will manage human resources and budgetary responsibilities, ensuring that all employees perform their job functions to the SP+ standards of operational excellence. This includes delivering premier customer service to clients, hiring and training frontline employees, and maximizing profitability through revenue development and expense management. In this position, the Senior Facility Manager will be tasked with revenue reporting and budget management, ensuring that proper parking, security, and cash control procedures are followed. They will prepare daily bank deposits, monitor audits, and manage the operation's budget, making recommendations to exceed financial goals. Additionally, the role involves workforce management, where the manager will identify staffing needs, hire and develop a team, and supervise employee performance to ensure high standards are met. Client retention and satisfaction are also key components of this role. The Senior Facility Manager will proactively communicate with clients to identify opportunities for operational improvements and resolve any concerns or issues that arise. They will monitor facility maintenance to uphold cleanliness standards and make recommendations for aesthetic improvements. Furthermore, the Senior Facility Manager will assist in marketing and revenue optimization efforts, including conducting parking rate studies and developing marketing plans. Safety and risk management are critical, as the manager will monitor damage claims and implement safety programs to prevent future incidents. Compliance with OSHA laws and company policies is essential in this role, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for all employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation through effective leadership and client relationship development.
  • Deliver premier customer service to clients.
  • Hire and train frontline employees, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed.
  • Maximize profitability through revenue development and expense management.
  • Ensure compliance with parking, security, and cash control procedures.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and monitor audits for potential theft or inefficiencies.
  • Manage the operation's budget and make recommendations to exceed financial goals.
  • Identify procurement and vendor service needs for the location.
  • Perform general accounting duties including accounts payable and payroll management.
  • Identify proper staffing levels and supervise employee performance to ensure high standards are met.
  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding operational improvements and resolve issues.
  • Monitor facility maintenance for cleanliness and aesthetic improvements.
  • Assist in marketing strategies to maximize revenues, including parking rate studies and consumer marketing plans.
  • Monitor and review damage claims and implement safety programs to prevent future incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience leading, managing, and motivating team members.
  • Strong customer service skills and focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task or work independently.
  • Ability to react and problem-solve quickly.
  • Ability to understand and communicate company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Documents and Spreadsheets.
  • Ability to learn internal computer programs.
  • Prior experience developing budgets and P&L review is a plus.
  • Parking management experience preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
