Senior Financial Analyst, Global Procurement Finance, Controls & Risk

About the position

Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst within Global Procurement Operations Finance to define, create, analyze and influence controllership within global procurement decisions. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes and will require interactions with Directors and VP's within Operations and Finance. The position will partner with stakeholders such as the Operations business team, engineering services, and Finance teams across Worldwide Operations. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to lead initiatives to streamline planning/reporting as well as identify investment and cost savings opportunities within the Fulfillment Center network.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with procurement colleagues and serve as a trustworthy business partner for engineering teams.
• Drive initiatives, collect, analyze and manage quantitative data, and create meaningful reports to lead business improvement.
• Maintain project oversight, drive initiatives and policy reviews, and partner with category management on strategic input drivers.
• Influence business owners and support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving environment.
• Build creative solutions with large-scale data mining tools and solve complex problems affecting company-wide strategic decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
