About the position
Amazon's Operations network is renowned for being world-class, delivering packages to customers across the world. Our Finance teams don't just manage financial books; they also help drive the company forward by partnering closely with global cross-functional teams to support the growth of this rapidly expanding network; driving controllership, innovation, productivity, and cost-effective operations across the network in a fast paced environment. You'll employ data consolidation, automation and process improvement initiatives to ensure your partners and leaders have the most up to date, reliable information, working collaboratively to make the best possible financial decisions. You'll make a huge impact, not just being a go-to finance partner to business and finance leadership, but also make history while having fun along the way!
Responsibilities
- Form strategic plans to improve processes, tools, and analytics. This involves ownership of project ideation, pilot implementation, stakeholder management, and ultimately expansion
- Leverage Operations metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking up operations and financials
- Identifies risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps
- Drive automation and process improvement across planning, top-down forecasting and goal management processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
