About the position

Inspire is the first of its kind medical device designed to make a difference in the lives of those living with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this newly created position, you will play a key role in continuing to build and shape the FP&A function at Inspire. You will be instrumental in supporting our budgeting and forecasting process, scaling our current processes, as well as building out new capabilities to support decision making and drive business value in alignment with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly budget vs. actual reporting package, including but not limited to departmental and consolidated level reports
  • Support the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast processes by working closely with department leaders and the finance team
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly budget vs actual meetings with department leaders to track performance and identify/document risks and opportunities
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deliver process improvements and provide value added analysis to the business
  • Build out our long-term and capital planning process and models
  • Improve and scale standardized FP&A reporting
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and build models that support strategic initiatives and drive value for the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
  • 6+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Strong Excel skills, including proven experience working with large data sets, building models/reports, Power Query, and Power Pivot
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and financial statements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to talk to all levels of leadership

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA or similar advanced degree/certification
  • Advanced data analysis skills (Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Python)
  • Experience working at or with a large, complex, growing international company in the med-tech and/or manufacturing industry
