About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst assists in the advancement of budgeting, financial forecasting, long-range financial/strategic planning, and analytical procedures aimed at maximizing the company's financial performance and operational efficacy. This role entails delivering strategic analysis to propel new business initiatives and foster company innovations, as well as providing business insights to foster data-driven management decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of financial planning and analysis processes to enhance the company's financial forecasting and analytic capabilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive business and strategic analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and translate complex data into actionable insights and key strategic recommendations that are clear, accessible, and impactful for all stakeholders.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and comparative performance metrics to enhance management decision-making and refine financial forecasting assumptions.
  • Support the financial reporting and close processes, including variance analysis and the identification of potential adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly financial management reporting packages, including variance explanations, forecast updates, scenario analyses, key performance indicators, and other pertinent analyses.
  • Assist in the development of executive-level goals and provide regular management information reports and analytics.
  • Prepare and present Board of Directors memos, company presentations, corporate performance reports, lender materials, and other essential deliverables.
  • Direct and manage cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and business deliverables.
  • Communicate process, template, and timeline requirements for monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables to FP&A functions across the company and external stakeholders.
  • Champion change and continuously improve internal collaborative processes and the exchange of information between departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a multi-state consumer products company with 750 to 1,000 employees.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate finance principles, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Microsoft environment, especially Dynamics Finance & Operations and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
