About the position

The FP&A Analyst, under the supervision of the Director of Finance, is responsible for gathering data, building financial models, and analyzing financial performance to provide insights and forecasts that support strategic decision-making within a company. This includes tasks like budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and creating reports for senior management to guide operational and investment choices.

Responsibilities

  • Constructing and maintaining complex financial models to project future revenue, expenses, and profitability based on various scenarios.
  • Collaborating with various departments and Service Centers to develop annual budgets, tracking spending against budget, and identifying variances.
  • Creating regular financial forecasts to predict future performance, considering market trends and business initiatives.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing trends, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Preparing comprehensive financial reports for senior management, including detailed analysis and insights on key metrics.
  • Collecting data from various sources, cleaning and validating it, and utilizing analytical tools to extract meaningful insights.
  • Supporting the development of long-term strategic plans by providing financial analysis and projections.
  • Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and working with departments to optimize expenses.
  • Presenting financial information and insights to stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Strong people and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a positive friendly customer service attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Computer knowledge and skills, including MS Office Suite and advanced Excel skills.
  • Prior experience with MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Power BI or Power Query is a plus.
  • Collaborative with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Initiative-taking and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach and ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Leadership skills and ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting & Finance systems and related regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000.
