About the position
The Senior Front End Software Engineer will be part of a dynamic and innovative technology team at Green Street, a fast-growing FinTech company specializing in Commercial Real Estate (CRE). This role focuses on developing exceptional user experiences for cloud and mobile-based solutions, utilizing the latest technologies such as Ionic, Angular, and TypeScript. The engineer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with various teams to create high-quality applications that meet the needs of clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality mobile and web applications using Ionic, Angular, and TypeScript
- Design and implement responsive, single-page applications (SPAs) that provide a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them with precision
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Provide mentorship to junior developers through training, pair programming, and code reviews
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain at the forefront of innovation
- Collaborate with product, research, operations, data, design, and back-end teams to build innovative solutions to achieve business goals
- Work directly with a development team in London and California offshore development team members in various time zones
- Able to overlap with US West coast 3-4 hours to handle hand-over discussions, triage issues, etc.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or comparable experience
- Excellent programming skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with mobile applications using Ionic or similar, JavaScript-based development platforms (Angular, etc.), TypeScript or similar
- Proficiency with Git is required; previous experience with the Atlassian product family (Confluence and Jira) is a plus
- Must enjoy collaborative problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detail
- Prepared to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment with the ability to multitask
- Track record of continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying current with new technologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with web performance optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of responsive design
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
