About the position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support operations and maintenance for large-scale communication systems in a real-time 24x7 environment. The role involves providing operations and maintenance support for complex hardware-software communication systems, ensuring their reliability and functionality. The engineer will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, managing COMSEC accounts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver technical assessments and operational recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations and maintenance support for large, integrated, complex hardware-software communication systems.
• Manage DE Enterprise COMSEC accounts, including inventory database systems and equipment ordering/installation.
• Resolve discrepancy reports, provide training/mentoring, and develop procedures.
• Collect data, isolate faults, and perform real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities.
• Assist in developing troubleshooting and recovery plans, and execute management and customer briefs.
• Participate in corrective maintenance, including remove/replace, repair, and testing of failed hardware.
• Collaborate with delivering factories to support development activities and installation efforts.
• Interact directly with operations customers, management, and mission partners for technical assessments.

Requirements

• Active COMPTIA SECURITY PLUS Certification.
• Knowledge of network systems and real-time software applications supporting communications systems.
• Familiarity with LINUX, PYTHON, and/or MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE Applications.
