The Senior Fly Delta Mobile Developer will be responsible for building innovative features on the iOS native applications supporting Delta and Virgin Atlantic's customer-facing mobile platform. In this scope, the next team-player in this space will work with their team and matrix teams to define the technical solutions that create resilient, automated systems and ensure defect-free delivery of our solutions with a focus on reusability, reliability and quality. This senior developer will work closely with the technical architects across the organization, partner with peers across IT, and interact daily with squad team members to build an industry-best customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build innovative features on the iOS native applications supporting Delta and Virgin Atlantic's customer-facing mobile platform.
  • Define technical solutions that create resilient, automated systems.
  • Ensure defect-free delivery of solutions with a focus on reusability, reliability, and quality.
  • Work closely with technical architects across the organization.
  • Partner with peers across IT and interact daily with squad team members.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in Mobile technologies (iOS, Swift, XCUI, Swift UI) with expert understanding of design patterns.
  • Working knowledge in cloud-native technologies is desired.
  • Quality development practices with automation at the forefront for continuous quality and Test-Driven Development as a central practice.
  • Ability to build secure apps that adhere to best practices for information security.
  • Ability to build high performing apps focused on a balance of data stored in app vs servers.
  • Technical expertise in current technical/functional area and staying informed on industry practices.
  • Solution-oriented with a positive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Java, Nodejs is desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills for clarity and outcomes with all levels of employees and management.
  • Integrity and trust foundation to build relationships.
  • Teamwork skillset to work well in a collaborative setting.
  • Good knowledge of Software Development best practices.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
