We are currently seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team in Billings, Montana. This role is pivotal as we bridge the gap between traditional energy sources and sustainable alternatives, helping our customers meet the energy, chemicals, and resources needs of society today. The Senior Instrument Engineer will work independently at an advanced level, applying engineering theories, techniques, and practices to complete a variety of assignments. This position requires substantial knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry practices related to instrumentation engineering. In this role, you will deliver instrumentation engineering services that meet Worley’s, our customers’, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will initiate, manage, and deliver project requirements, participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with project change management processes. Your responsibilities will include developing project deliverables such as piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), instrument lists, specification forms, and installation details. You will also provide assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, coordinating with clients and ensuring project documentation is accurate and up to date. The Senior Instrument Engineer will be expected to keep abreast of the latest developments in instrumentation engineering and proactively resolve discrepancies between Worley and customer requirements. Effective communication with the engineering team and project stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.
