About the position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. You will work across subsystems and support coordinated solutions to achieve our vision of "millions of people living and working in space." You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of developing test plans and procedures for vehicle operations, verifying vehicle design and function, archiving test data to support vehicle verification, and developing test equipment and GSE. This role is a combination of test and operations development, planning and documentation, hands-on running tests, and solving/data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support integrated Test Leads by carrying out test development engineering activities by Blue Origin standards and practices.
  • Work with design and systems engineers to plan tests of the vehicle subsystems, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the pertinent requirements.

  • Experience leading test teams as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer.
  • 2-6+ years of current technical hands-on experience designing, testing, or operating in at least one of the following fields: Avionics, Navigation, or control systems; Power Storage and Distribution Systems; Electrical Harnessing; Electrical Instrumentation; Communications systems; Electrical Ground Support Equipment.
  • Experience in system engineering practices formal or informal.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
