About the position

This is a remote role, but the candidate selected must live within an hour's drive of the Greater Chicagoland area. We are seeking a communications professional to manage internal communications plans and programs that support the Global Services' organizational strategy, critical initiatives, and other business updates. This position reports to the Global Services Communications Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing internal and external communications for senior leaders and key stakeholders. This includes crafting emails, organization announcements, blog posts, newsletters, and employee engagement initiatives. The role also involves owning and creating communication plans for key implementations and supporting the development and execution of Town Halls for senior leadership, as well as ad hoc presentations. In this position, you will serve as a strategic business partner to leaders, teams, and functions across the Global Services organization, focusing on building trusted relationships. You will engage and partner with subject matter experts and key internal stakeholders throughout the content development process, which includes capturing relevant and accurate information, translating messaging for the general employee population, and coordinating reviews and approvals. Building networks across diverse cultures and geographies is essential, and you will thrive in a collaborative team-based environment while also being able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit internal and external communications for senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Own and create communication plans for key implementations.
  • Support the development and execution of Town Halls for senior leadership and ad hoc presentations.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to leaders, teams, and functions across the Global Services organization.
  • Engage and partner with subject matter experts and key internal stakeholders throughout the content development process.
  • Build networks across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team-based environment while also working independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 4+ years of corporate communications, public relations agency, journalism, and/or marketing experience.
  • Experience in executive communications is ideal.
  • Ability to submit a strong portfolio of written work to illustrate storytelling and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of AP style is a plus.
  • Expert writing, storytelling, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly strategic and out-of-the-box thinker with the ability to be understanding, decisive, and forward-thinking.
  • Skilled at exerting influence and obtaining support from various teams.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and adjusting as circumstances change.
  • Serious commitment to excellence, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Basic graphics and video experience is a plus.
