About the position

The Senior IT TSA Manager - M&A at Allianz Commercial will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Transition Service Agreement (TSA) operations within the IT department. This position is critical during transitional periods such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, ensuring that IT services are delivered effectively. The Senior IT TSA Manager will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will also have a matrix reporting line to the Transition Office. This role is limited to a two-year contract, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and strategic oversight in a dynamic environment. In this role, the Senior IT TSA Manager will manage and coordinate IT TSA activities across various workstreams, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The IT delivery from Allianz Technology encompasses a TSA annual project volume of USD 25 million. The manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders in Allianz Technology and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery during the TSA period of the M&A transaction. This includes overseeing the process for change requests and IT enhancements in all IT systems, ensuring alignment with the contractual obligations of the TSA structure of the M&A deal and the IT strategy of Allianz Group. The Senior IT TSA Manager will also monitor the performance of IT services provided under the TSA against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and address any issues that arise. This role requires the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, reports, and documentation related to TSA activities, particularly for IT change requests. Leadership oversight of all IT Operations services contractual agreements is essential, including monitoring vendor performance, security metrics, compliance, and process improvements. The manager will handle escalations and dispute resolution within SLA periods, negotiate existing contract changes and pricing as needed, and oversee volume forecasting. Additionally, the Senior IT TSA Manager will manage a team of IT professionals involved in IT TSA delivery, providing guidance and support to achieve TSA objectives. This includes day-to-day management, development, and delegation of work, tasks, and topics to ensure the success of the TSA operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate IT TSA activities across various workstreams, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Allianz Technology and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery during TSA period of the M&A transaction.
  • Oversee the process for change requests and IT enhancements in all IT systems, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations of TSA structure of M&A deal and IT strategy of Allianz Group.
  • Monitor the performance of IT services provided under the TSA against agreed SLAs and address any issues.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, reports, and documentation related to TSA activities, especially for IT change requests.
  • Leadership oversight of all IT Operations services contractual agreement, including monitoring for adherence to contract, vendor performance, security metrics, and compliance.
  • Manage escalations and dispute resolution within SLA periods, including negotiating existing contract changes and pricing as needed.

  • Responsible for managing internal and external teams, including 2 project managers and 3 teams within Allianz Technology.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management, development, and delegating work, tasks, and topics.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior IT management role in an insurance company.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and support services.
  • Experience in IT related merger and acquisition activities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects within Allianz or in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, productivity & steering, and agile transformation & change management.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk & compliance, IAM governance, and workplace IT solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
