Senior Java Developer( Hybrid)

About the position

A Senior Associate Technology contributes to Sapient engagements by creating units of defect free code modules that meet the business and technical requirements during Enterprise Architecture Release (Ear), Implementation and Manage phases. The role involves understanding client business and domain, identifying opportunities for digital transformation, and working with architects for technology evaluation and solution. The candidate will also provide quick POCs for benchmarking solutions that are competitive, easy to develop, scale, and cost-effective. Additionally, the role requires mapping client requirements to API contracts and documentation, as well as mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Understand client business and domain.
• Identify opportunity for digital transformation.
• Identify technology enablers to extend client business ecosystem.
• Work with architect for technology evaluation and solution.
• Provide quick POC for benchmarking solutions that are competitive, easy to develop, scale, and cost-effective.
• Work with architect to cater to all aspects of solution like architecture, provisioning, networking, estimation, and planning.
• Map client requirement to API contract, documentation along with mocked response.
• Explore and apply innovative solutions to enhance existing solutions.
• Build boilerplate code, templates, and accelerators to enable faster delivery and predictable quality solutions.
• Rollout white papers, POVs, reference implementations, and conduct seminars to share knowledge.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Create a fair ground for everyone to contribute.

Requirements

• Minimum experience of 7+ years.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Strong Java technical and analytical skills.
• Key behavioral attributes around leadership, innovation, learning aptitude, flexibility, and being a great team player.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with API gateway products (APIGEE, API Connect, Kong, Mule, AWS API Manager, Azure APIM, etc.).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with gRPC standards.
