About The Position

The Senior Java Developer role at a global bank in Tampa, FL, is a contract position with a strong possibility of extension. Requirements

• 10+ years of core Java experience.
• 10+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Java messaging EMS, and REST services.
• 3+ years of experience in UI development with Angular (from version 5 and up) and Bootstrap.
• 3+ years of experience with ECS Container.
• Strong technical skills in Hibernate framework and basic Unix/Linux commands.
• Experience with Mongo and Oracle Database for general CRUD activity.
• Strong experience in the Software Development Lifecycle process.
• Experience in developing all areas of Java-based programming.
• Experience delivering projects as part of a cross-location team.
• Hands-on ability to perform technical specifications.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, and Cucumber.

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and collaborate with the team architect to drive technical solutions.
• Develop web-based front-end applications and back-end components using approved technologies as per business requirements.
• Ensure unit testing is created and executed on every component and functionality changed.
• Monitor process flows and review alert messaging to proactively remediate potential issues.
• Continuously document all environmental procedures.
• Investigate level 3 issues and influence change with development teams to improve system stability and business objectives.
• Work collaboratively with other functional teams to investigate and remediate data quality issues.
• Improve personal and team productivity through innovations and use of available tools.
• Comply with mandated policies and procedures and contribute to procedural improvements.
• Accurately estimate effort for assigned tasks to the team and consistently meet commitments.
