Senior Java developer

About the position

Infosys is seeking Senior Java Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Create high level design artifacts.
• Deliver high quality code deliverables for a module.
• Lead validation for all types of testing.
• Support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to this location prior to Onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience in building and supporting Web Development.
• 3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE Technologies.
• High level knowledge on CI/CD.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 4 years of experience in project lifecycles on development & maintenance projects, estimation methodologies, quality processes.
• Experience in development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, JavaScript, Spring, RESTful web services and microservices.
• Capable of contributing to the technical design for development projects by reviewing and understanding the high-level functional specifications.
• Experience in user requirement, develop specifications, design, review code and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to independently plan, define and develop proof of concepts.
• Excellent understanding of unit testing methodologies and should conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
