About the position

The Senior Learning Experience Designer at FranklinCovey plays a crucial role in inspiring and enabling learners to shift their mindsets and achieve meaningful behavior change. This position requires exceptional creativity, critical thinking, and storytelling skills to design and build transformative learning experiences that address today's workplace challenges. The designer will collaborate with various stakeholders to create high-impact learning solutions primarily for instructor-led training and digital modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Be a thought partner to the Director of Learning & Insights in early-stage research to shape course vision and content architecture.
  • Synthesize subject matter research into insights that learners can apply to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Design and build transformative learning experiences with a learner-first mindset for instructor-led and digital training.
  • Elevate design standards using new and emerging technology.
  • Guide collaborations with graphic designers, video producers, and stakeholders to conceptualize media for courses.
  • Review junior experience designers' work to ensure it meets quality standards and learner outcomes.
  • Offer constructive feedback to stakeholders, including executives and peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience developing learning experiences including facilitated live experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of experience developing learning experiences from conception through delivery.
  • Compelling communication skills in writing, editing, and presentation design.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills in conceptual framing and execution.
  • Proven collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple moving pieces across large projects.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint.
