About the position

The Senior Learning Specialist - Instructional Design will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and execution of training programs across the organization. This position aims to enhance employee development while ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and values. The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess training needs and create effective learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining, developing, and refining learning and development strategies, programs, and content.
  • Manage the coordination and facilitation of training via in-person classes, virtual workshops/events, or e-learning platforms.
  • Partner with functional leaders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and develop/recommend training approaches, objectives, and modalities.
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness and application of the training.
  • Create and maintain program materials such as presentation decks, course outlines, job aids, and handouts.
  • Design course content in-house and/or recommend outside instructional design support as applicable.
  • Participate in the creation of a portfolio of learning programs and training paths for skills and career development.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a learning or business discipline, or certification in Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Learning is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with 3+ years in technical/product application training facilitation.
  • Proficient or have strong knowledge of e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience using learning management systems (LMS) to drive the delivery of learning solutions.
  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or in a similar role applying adult learning principles & methodologies to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
  • Skilled facilitator, both in-person and virtually.
  • Working knowledge of UX/UI principles for designing engaging and user-friendly learning experiences.
