About the position

The Senior Manager, Event Marketing at ATD Conferences plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and attendance of various talent development events. This position requires a blend of strategic marketing expertise, budget management, and collaboration with multiple teams to drive engagement and conversions for ATD's events, including the flagship International Conference & EXPO.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Director of Conferences and Events to devise compelling pricing and marketing strategies that increase event attendance.
  • Set strategy, build relevant campaigns, and guide tactics for a broad portfolio of ATD Events that drive conversions.
  • Stay informed on global talent development and HR industry audience trends to inform marketing plans.
  • Drive global delegation engagement and event participation.
  • Establish budgets for marketing spend and execute efforts within budget.
  • Identify campaign themes, tactics, and channels, managing the timely execution of content creation and collateral materials.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to reach prospect audiences.
  • Work in partnership with various internal teams to identify cross-promotion opportunities.
  • Proactively manage and develop two direct reports.
  • Contribute to cross-functional marketing team initiatives and develop analytics to monitor performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing products and services, with a focus on events preferred.
  • Experience managing high-performing direct reports.
  • Extensive digital marketing expertise in SEM and paid social.
  • Expertise in product pricing and promotion.
  • Knowledge of paid, earned, and owned media strategies.
  • Expertise with marketing automation tools.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Ability to communicate, inspire, and collaborate effectively.
  • Proven track record of executing marketing strategies with quantifiable results.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
