About the position

The Senior Manager, Event Marketing will support the Executive Director of Event Marketing, focusing on overall sponsor management for the Travel Category. This hybrid position allows for remote work up to 2 days per week and involves collaboration with the event marketing team to ensure successful event execution and sponsor integration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Director of Event Marketing with presale requests and sponsorship acquisition.
  • Implement, oversee, and manage all sponsorship activations for advertising partners, including pre-event logistics and onsite management.
  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to respond to RFPs and create compelling event marketing sponsorship proposals.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing in developing event sponsorship tools, including templates and presentations.
  • Coordinate with the event marketing team to integrate sponsorships into various events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in event marketing, sponsorship management, or special events, ideally at a media company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient writing skills with an understanding of marketing principles.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel when needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and creative.
