About the position

As a Senior Manager I in Data Analysis, you will play a crucial role in leading the Global Data Analysis Department. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, direct, and coordinate the department's activities in alignment with approved policies and quality control procedures. You will ensure the accurate and timely completion of the analysis process, which is vital for meeting customer expectations and corporate objectives. In this role, you will lead the Data Analysis team and the Data Analysis leadership group, developing and implementing operational business plans and strategies that align with both short- and long-term objectives of TDW. You will evaluate and assign workloads globally to ensure that metrics and workloads are achieved, while also formulating and managing the departmental budget to maximize return on investment. Your analytical skills will be essential as you regularly appraise the effectiveness of Global Data Analysis operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and taking prompt corrective action when necessary. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Data Analysts maintain proper certifications and receive the necessary training according to industry requirements. Additionally, you will evaluate monthly Data Analysis status reports to keep management and staff informed of analysis activities, making adjustments to plans as needed. Building and maintaining relationships with key customers will be critical, as you will prioritize their needs based on annual run awards and turnaround expectations. You will also evaluate, develop, and monitor QA/QC KPIs to drive continuous data quality improvement across the global organization. Your role will involve process improvement by reviewing all Data Analysis workflow processes to identify bottlenecks and develop more efficient processes for maximum throughput. Collaboration with software development and Data Science teams will be necessary to enhance inspection software continuously. You will also seek new developments to incorporate into service and product offerings for customers. In conjunction with Global Training Support, you will develop and implement training programs while monitoring employee development. Selecting, evaluating, developing, and leading employees will be part of your responsibilities to ensure a qualified workforce that meets company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines. Setting personal objectives, providing constructive feedback, and accurately assessing employee performance will be key components of your leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Data Analysis team and Data Analysis leadership group for the Global Data Analysis Team.
  • Develops and implements Global Data Analysis operational business plans, strategies and organization design that are consistent with short- and long-term objectives of TDW.
  • Evaluates and assigns workload globally to ensure metrics and workloads are achieved.
  • Formulates and manages departmental budget to maximize return on investment.
  • Analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of the Global Data Analysis operations to ensure that customer expectations and objectives are met, corporate policies observed, and prompt corrective action is taken when necessary.
  • Ensures proper certifications for Data Analysts are current and training is conducted according to industry requirements.
  • Ensures technical proficiency appropriate to meet customer and market requirements and Global Data Analysis operations are conducted with a focus on quality and timeliness of service.
  • Evaluates monthly Data Analysis status reports to keep management and staff apprised of analysis activity and makes adjustments to plans as appropriate.
  • Continuously evaluates and ensures that key customers are being properly prioritized based on annual run awards and turnaround expectations through developing relationships with key customers and managing escalated customer support needs.
  • Evaluate, develop and monitor QA/QC KPI's to drive continuous data quality improvement throughout the global organization.
  • Responsible for process improvement globally by reviewing all DA work-flow processes to identify bottlenecks and develop more efficient processes to achieve maximum throughput.
  • Works closely with software development and Data Science team(s) to continuously improve inspection software.
  • Looks for new developments which can be incorporated into the service/product offerings to our customers.
  • In conjunction with GTS (Global Training Support), develops and implements training programs and monitors development.
  • Selects, evaluates, develops and leads employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data analysis and management, preferably in a global context.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Experience in formulating and managing budgets to maximize ROI.
  • Ability to analyze and appraise operational effectiveness and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Familiarity with industry requirements for Data Analyst certifications and training.
  • Strong technical proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in process improvement and workflow optimization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the finance industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and collaboration with technical teams.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC methodologies and KPI development.
