About the position

The Senior Manager, IT Product Construction, Destination at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for managing the portfolio of IT construction projects related to the company's Destination Products. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget while developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives. The position involves leading a team of IT professionals, collaborating with various departments, and monitoring project performance to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of IT construction projects for Destination Products.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals.
  • Collaborate with key departments and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on IT project performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage resource allocation, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
  • Support the intake process of projects through governance processes.
  • Lead capability requirements for business model integration with product owners.
  • Create collaborative partnerships among portfolio stakeholders for resource planning and budget management.
  • Manage a $30M - $50M annual budget across multiple projects.
  • Develop and deliver project management training to improve project delivery consistency.
  • Build strong relationships within Royal Caribbean Group to understand business challenges and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, product management, or operations.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in amusement park operations.
  • Experience working with hospitality systems.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.
