About the position

The Senior Manager, National Sales will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of a bold strategy for Rheem Residential Water Sales. You will lead a team of strategic sales professionals by providing coaching, training, and mentorship to make them a highly effective sales force. An ideal candidate will have experience in the Water Heating segment including personal contacts within the marketplace. Having a strong strategic, customer-focused mentality and the ability to inspire others to perform will be keys to success. This position serves our US Water Heating business, field based, with roughly 60-75% travel. This role will be location in the northern half of the US within close proximity to a major metro.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership - Build and develop a team of innovative sales strategies and partner strategically to exceed sales goals.
  • Market Execution - Work with market launch teams to ensure cohesive plan established and seamlessly launched.
  • Collaboration Point for Region - Drive coordination across teams in highly fragmented org structure; use substantial sales/go to market knowledge to inform business needs that guide operations.
  • Go to for Leaders of National Customer - Serve as connection point for leadership within National Customer; answer market questions and track down open items (Forecast, pricing, product, channel, programs, shipping, invoice, etc.).
  • Channel Conflict Resolver - Lead collaboration across the region sales teams to resolve conflict with Premier National Account customer and other customers, reps, and distributors.
  • Communication - Drive effective communication of account direction, objectives, and performance across the region.
  • Forecast - Adjust sales forecasts and projected expense budgets designed to attain sales and profit objectives.
  • Program Management - Align rebate and related incentives/programs across the region to ensure consistency and good financial performance.
  • Sales Incentives - Ensure key targets/drivers across markets and on the aggregate are aligned to overall P&L expectations; evaluate market performance to KPIs and recommend actions to drive further progress.
  • Customer Experience - Partner with Customer Experience leaders across Air, Water and Commercial to inform sales team of high-volume issues raised through customer contact (calls, chatbot etc.), proactive responses to field quality issues, resolutions to field issues etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business related field
  • 10+ years of experience in industry-related field sales, business development or related experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of assigned Water product line markets and distribution channels
  • Ability to create and execute strategic plans
  • Ability to build consensus on key division strategies and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in an independent manner
  • Must be capable of analyzing and interpreting industry related regulations/journals
  • Experience managing and administering a budget
  • Ability to develop customer and area specific marketing/sales growth plans
  • Demonstrated skills in business planning and customer analysis
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, problem solving, resources management and time management skills
  • Strong communicative skills (e.g., business correspondence and professional customer correspondence)
  • Experience in conducting business/affairs at the executive level
  • Strong presentation skills (Ability to effectively develop & present information to top management, and public groups)
  • Ability to work independently and make informed defendable decisions as they relate to customer, pricing, and strategies
