About the position

The Senior Manager, Revenue Analytics at The Trade Desk is responsible for providing analytical and operational support to the commercial teams. This role involves acting as a key business partner to generate revenue-driving insights through data-driven analyses, while ensuring sound decision-making across the organization. The position requires balancing project management responsibilities with analytical tasks, and it includes managing a Revenue Analytics Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an analytics partner for Business Development and Client Services to identify key revenue opportunities and create insightful analyses.
  • Build complex financial models to support contract negotiations with Business Development leaders.
  • Optimize resource investments through supporting analyses and creation of reports and key metrics while ensuring data integrity.
  • Support new initiatives and ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Provide project management for complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage a Revenue Analytics Analyst.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • BA/BS and/or MBA/MS degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of or prior experience in programmatic advertising or internet is a plus.
  • Experience in building detailed financial models that provide easily digestible insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management clearly and concisely.
  • Intellectually curious with a proactive approach to learning and teaching others about industry impacts on KPIs and OKRs.
  • Experience in implementing processes and building reports in collaboration with BI and System Engineering partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, mastery of Microsoft Excel, and experience with SQL or Python for writing queries and creating reports in Oracle is a plus.
  • High personal and professional integrity with a can-do attitude and a desire to deliver outstanding work product.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in programmatic advertising or internet-related fields.
  • Familiarity with writing queries in SQL or Python.
