About the position

The Sr. Manager, ServiceNow ITOM Product Owner at Pfizer is responsible for leading the development and management of IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product vision and user needs into effective software products that enhance productivity and user experience. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and the delivery of stable product operations while ensuring alignment with security and performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify requirements for ITOM solutions.
  • Define, maintain, and execute strategic roadmaps for CMDB, ITAM Discovery, and Event products.
  • Liaise between business and technical stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding of processes and product lifecycle.
  • Drive continual innovation and increase product value through user experience research and operational analysis.
  • Write and prioritize backlog user stories focusing on user and business needs.
  • Lead planning of the Agile Team's scrum sprint to reaffirm priorities and ensure readiness for sprints.
  • Refine product backlog with detailed analysis of impact and effort.
  • Lead and mentor colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and customer satisfaction, making necessary adjustments.
  • Support product demos and facilitate workshops as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field with 7+ years of experience delivering digital products.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a product owner in ServiceNow, focusing on ITSM/ITOM modules.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to quickly acquire product expertise and understand technical dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an agile environment with a collaborative mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Experience operating in a matrix organizational environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in strategy, management, or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience.
