The Senior Manufacturing Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. This position requires strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams to estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. The role involves applying advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native, and Quantum Physics to solve customer missions in various fields including cyber, RF, undersea, and interstellar space. The company emphasizes continuous improvement in manufacturing methods, leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Requirements

- 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components.
- Understanding of lean techniques and statistical analysis.
- U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements.
