About the position

The Senior Manufacturing/Production Operator position involves performing complex project tasks and assignments related to production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This includes working with modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. The operator will read and interpret basic schematics and drawings, follow methods and techniques for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. Additionally, the role requires integrating sub-assemblies into final hardware, performing final assembly of small systems, conducting basic electrical tests, and executing more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project tasks/assignments of a more complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Read and interpret basic schematics and drawings.
  • Follow methods, techniques, and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
  • Integrate sub-assemblies into final hardware.
  • Perform final assembly of small systems and conduct basic electrical tests.
  • Perform more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Clear knowledge of polarity and inspection criteria, Bills of Material (BOM), and applicable work order tracking management systems.
  • Clear knowledge of measuring equipment and math, and solid communication skills.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task.

  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous JST space addendum or NASA 8739 soldering experience.
