About the position

The position involves supporting company goals through analysis and reporting on customer attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors. The role requires independent work to define objectives, select research methodologies, mentor junior team members, manage third-party vendors, and analyze market data to uncover unmet customer needs. The individual will also prepare reports and make strategic recommendations based on consumer data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to determine appropriate research methods and techniques.
  • Design and implement high-quality qualitative or quantitative primary market research studies.
  • Develop analysis plans and design questionnaires for research projects.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and produce reports summarizing findings.
  • Uncover insights from multiple data sources and distill findings into actionable reports.
  • Assess implications of findings and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Present research findings through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Define research objectives and assist project teams in managing priorities.
  • Lead projects from inception to successful conclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a related market research role, including primary market research.
  • Knowledge of business operations and marketing techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for delivering engaging presentations to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using statistical packages, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Market Research, or other quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and publishing applications.
