About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager is a Global Pet Professional Marketing Lead responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of marketing initiatives aimed at increasing the adoption of genetic testing among veterinarians and breeders. This hybrid role, based in New York City, involves collaboration with various teams to enhance brand visibility and drive growth in the pet healthcare market, particularly through B2B partnerships. The position requires a strong focus on marketing strategy, eCommerce growth, and educational programs to support the Wisdom Panel brand as a leader in genetic testing for pets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive marketing strategy and brand activation plans for Wisdom's priorities in the pet professional space.
  • Research and understand the pet genetic testing industry for veterinarians and breeders.
  • Own and deploy the Wisdom PRO brand identity and tone of voice for veterinary professionals and breeders.
  • Collaborate with product, R&D, ops, and creative teams to sustain a comprehensive product offering for PRO customers.
  • Manage the Pet PRO marketing budget, including reporting, finance planning, and KPI tracking.
  • Partner with D2C marketing teams to define and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Oversee the Shopify direct-to-breeder storefronts and ensure relevant messaging for breeders.
  • Translate new product features into compelling marketing messages for key audiences.
  • Manage trade marketing activations at industry conferences and events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers in the veterinary space.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on B2B and B2C marketing in veterinary or health-related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience driving digital/eCommerce sales.
  • Proven track record in marketing within the veterinary, pet healthcare, or breeder markets.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex scientific concepts and deliver clear marketing messages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in startup environments or tech companies.
  • Knowledge of genetic testing in the pet care or human healthcare space.
