About the position

The Senior Network Engineer / Architect will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of a new datacenter for a large managed service provider. This position focuses on architecting and building out datacenter-specific solutions, utilizing various networking technologies and equipment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the datacenter project, ensuring robust network architecture and security measures are in place.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build out a new datacenter.
• Design and implement a spine and leaf architecture.
• Take ownership of the new datacenter project.
• Work with various networking gears and equipment.
• Ensure network security through intrusion detection systems and firewalls.

Requirements

• Experience architecting large scale datacenters.
• Experience in design and deployment leveraging Arista, Palo Alto, and Cisco Meraki.
• Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Understanding of cloud networking with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of network security like intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and monitoring.

Nice-to-haves

• 6-8 years of experience working in a senior level network position with an emphasis on design.
• 4+ years datacenter specific experience.
• Related certifications (CCIE Datacenter, CCDP, CCNP, etc).
