About The Position

The Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer position is a contract role based in Hoboken, New Jersey, requiring extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and database management. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
• Experience in database modeling and RDBMS skills.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and SQL Loader.
• Experience in a Linux environment and basic Unix commands.
• Experience working in Agile methodology.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Core Java and Python.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M.
• AWS Cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
• RDBMS skills - SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, object privileges, etc.
• Data analysis, problem-solving, and design skills with a desire to continually learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
• Has done performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Knows ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed, e.g. SQL Loader, etc.
• Has experience in Linux environment and knows basic Unix commands.
• Experience working with team in Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Core Java, Python, scheduling tool like Control-M is nice to have.
• Experience in database modeling.
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus.
• Data analysis skills, design, and coding experience in Financial Industry preferably in Capital Markets/ Securities Finance.
• 5+ years working in financial industry is a plus.
• Understand glossaries and terminologies in financial industry.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Motivated and able to deliver end to end solutions.
• Good communication skill to both technology folks and business partners.
• Quick learner, adaptable, has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy solutions.
