Senior Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) – Effectors IPT (P5 – Senior Manager, Mission/Quality Assurance – Onsite – Andover, MA)

About the position

The Senior Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will aid US and/or foreign programs within the portfolio and work as a Hybrid employee at our Andover, MA location. You will promote and execute with a quality mindset, practices, knowledge transfer, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts. This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and interface with US Government Customers, Foreign Customers, Suppliers, and our internal Raytheon Quality team. The Patriot portfolio includes contracts in all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases, including design and development, production, and sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
• Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
• Manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans.
• Improve processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
• Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
• Monitor/lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues.
• Generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
• Support implementation of APQP as applicable.

Requirements

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Ten (10) years of engineering experience.
• Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
• Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
• Experience in other functional areas such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
• Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
