About the position

The Senior People Operations Coordinator at World Learning will play a crucial role in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of seasonal staff for the Youth Exchange unit. This position involves coordinating the recruitment cycle for program leaders and digital facilitators, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with human resource policies. The coordinator will work closely with the Operations Manager and various departments to enhance the effectiveness of staffing operations and support the organization's mission of global education and exchange.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment and hiring cycle for an estimated 80 program leaders and 60 digital facilitators annually.
  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to strengthen and diversify applicant pools.
  • Manage seasonal staff application pools, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to coordinate onboarding paperwork for temporary staff.
  • Lead training sessions for colleagues on best practices for managing temporary staff.
  • Support leader travel reservations and planning during peak times.
  • Attend and engage in the delivery of Staff Trainings, contributing to workshop design and facilitation.
  • Provide on-call support during programs, advising leaders and managing issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of related experience or a master's degree with 1+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience working with high school students in a leadership capacity.
  • Superior logistical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
