About the position

The Senior Principal QA Architect at HealthEdge Software Inc. is responsible for revolutionizing automation platforms across various business units. This role involves leading a team of Senior Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) to design and implement modern testing frameworks that enhance automation adoption and improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The architect will oversee the creation and maintenance of test automation frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the scalability and sustainability of testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and oversee the creation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and test data management frameworks.
  • Take responsibility for test infrastructure including environments and software, collaborating with DevOps and Support teams.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the testing function and implement improvements based on analysis.
  • Participate in tool analysis, create proof of concept models, and make recommendations for tool selection.
  • Stay updated on industry process, practice, and technology developments to enhance testing solutions.
  • Mentor SDETs assigned to various scrum teams and promote code quality principles.
  • Collaborate with Release Management, Project Management, and Application support teams for successful delivery of releases.
  • Promote QA processes, practices, and standardization across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering/computer science or a similar field.
  • 8+ years' experience writing code in various programming languages (JAVA, Javascript, Python) for test automation.
  • 8+ years' experience working in a tech department as a Quality Engineer or developer.
  • 5+ years' hands-on experience designing automation frameworks for large enterprise applications.
  • Experience with test automation development using frameworks and tools like Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, and Selenium/Cypress.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
  • Extensive experience using test case management tools like Testrail or Zephyr.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with analytical capabilities.
  • Prior Agile development experience, preferably in a CI/CD environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with Genrocket, Datadog, or equivalent tools.
