About the position

At TikTok, our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy, and we are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our Global Product & RD team. This team is dedicated to building core TikTok products that ensure healthy growth and deliver the best product experience to our users. As a designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our platform, which is designed for global users who engage with creative short videos. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from ideation to pixel-perfect design before launch. This position can be based out of our San Jose or San Francisco office, and you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers. Your responsibilities will include rapidly prototyping based on conceptual product ideas, designing user flows informed by data analysis and user research, and iterating on designs based on feedback from various stakeholders. You will be responsible for continuously optimizing the overall product experience, ensuring that it meets the needs of our users while aligning with TikTok's mission. Responsibilities

• Design for TikTok, the creative short video platform targeting global users.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers.
• Get involved in every aspect of the product development process, from ideas to pixel perfecting before launch.
• Prototype rapidly based on conceptual product ideas, design user flows based on data analysis and user research, get feedback from different stakeholders, reiterate designs, and ship products with the best user experience.
• Continuously optimize and be responsible for overall product experience.

Requirements

• Experience with UX and UI design, has led multiple design projects from strategy to launch, strong attention to detail.
• Ability to rapidly iterate and produce a multitude of concepts.
• Open-minded, welcome all feedback and be patient.
• Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal.
• Great communication skills, ability to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
• A global vision and mentality actively pays attention to global internet products.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years designing UX for consumer-facing products across mobile and web, preferably content creation or consumption related.
• Experience with A/B testing and data driven practice.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org.
• Mastery of design and prototyping tools.
