The Product Design team at Anduril plays a crucial role in designing for various form factors across the company's suite of products. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle of mission-critical features and workflows. Your work will have an immediate impact on real-world military operations, as you will be tasked with designing innovative interactions that enhance human-to-machine control. This role involves engaging in customer immersion, synthesizing feedback, collaborating across organizations, and delivering high-quality experiences. The design principles at Anduril emphasize trust, safety, and intentionality, guiding the team's work and shaping feedback during critiques. In this position, you will contribute to the overall direction and decision-making for product and design strategy. You will own all aspects of design execution, from discovery and ideation to prototyping, testing, and implementation. Your storytelling skills will be essential in aligning stakeholders with your design process. You will play a significant role in shaping the end-to-end experiences for critical operator workflows while maintaining a high standard for craft and driving novel experiences. Balancing short-term tactical initiatives with long-term strategic goals will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall direction and decision-making for product and design strategy.
• Own all aspects of design execution from discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Use storytelling to align and bring stakeholders along in your design process.
• Play an influential role in shaping the end-to-end experiences for critical operator workflows.
• Maintain a high bar for craft driving novel experiences at the edge and bringing back the results to evolve the underlying platform experience.
• Balance short-term tactical bets while making meaningful progress towards long-term strategic pursuits.
• Help to shape our ways of working as a centralized product design function operating in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience.
• High attention to detail and mastery of visual & interaction design craft.
• Ability to clearly articulate the why, process, and impact of your work.

Nice-to-haves

• Facilitation skills to lead discovery workshops with customers and/or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity leading user research sessions to validate your work.
• Opinionated about design operations and efforts to increase team efficiency.
• Demonstrated proactiveness in helping to shape team culture and mentorship participation.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
