About the position
At HeyGen, our mission is to make visual storytelling accessible to all. Over the last decade, visual content has become the preferred method of information creation, consumption, and retention. But the ability to create such content, in particular videos, continues to be costly and challenging to scale. Our ambition is to build technology that equips more people with the power to reach, captivate, and inspire audiences. As a member of our small but growing Design team, you will work closely with the CEO and Co-founder, making an impact from Day 1. You will deliver products and features from ideation to implementation to millions of users, creating a world-class product, user experience, and brand with a highly motivated team experiencing exponential growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and prototype high quality solutions for web and mobile products.
- Own design strategy and execution, helping to build best-in-class design practices, methodologies and systems.
- Build efficient workflows to collaborate with product managers, engineering and marketing teams to maximize design impact.
- Iterate and build at a rapid pace, flexibly moving between execution and forward-facing thinking.
Requirements
- 6+ years of designing and shipping impactful software
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams
- Proven experience working with and pitching to company leadership to execute on design solutions
- Effective communication and illustration of design ideas with the ability to align the team quickly with goals and priorities
- Being outspoken on personal taste with a high standard for aesthetics
- Experience in visual design, insightful understanding of fundamental design elements like colors, fonts, textures and can compose world-class visual design language fluently
- Open-minded, self-driven, strong learner, constantly on the front edge of the industry - bringing the latest insights to the team
Nice-to-haves
- Have led the design of impactful products or brands from 0 to 1, especially visual content creation products.
- Strong analytical thinking, with a great sense of data-driven design
- Experience conducting UX research
- A strong passion for design in a broader sense, constantly expanding design thinking and expertise
