About the position

The Senior Product Owner - Exchange and Email Security at Marriott is a pivotal role that focuses on the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Exchange/Email Security infrastructure. This position reports directly to the Director of Messaging & Collaboration and is integral to ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the Exchange/Email Security environment. The Senior Product Owner will collaborate closely with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders to implement innovative solutions that enhance the Exchange/Email Security technologies. In this role, the Senior Product Owner will act as a product evangelist and subject matter expert, serving as the primary point of contact for timely updates to both internal and external customers. The position requires participation in an agile approach, including standups, planning, and processes, to ensure that the product development aligns with business needs and technological advancements. Success in this role hinges on strong leadership and strategic skills, as well as a deep understanding of the modern Exchange Online and Email Security landscape. The candidate will also engage with the broader technology community and vendors to stay informed about industry innovations that can evolve the product offering and internal practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize the Exchange/Email Security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure reliability and security.
• Act as the product evangelist and subject matter expert for Exchange/Email Security technologies.
• Provide timely updates to internal and external customers regarding product developments.
• Participate in agile methodologies including standups and planning processes.
• Define product roadmaps and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Engage with technology community and vendors to stay updated on industry innovations.

Requirements

• 6+ years' experience in IT, business, management operations, or related professional area.
• 5+ years' experience with Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection (Defender) policy design and implementation.
• 5+ years' experience with Email Security Gateways and mail flow integration/management.
• 5+ years' experience with SMTP Relay services (Hosted and On-Premise).
• 3+ years designing and supporting solutions based on Office365 and other Collaboration Services.
• 4+ years of demonstrated Product and/or Strategy experience.
• Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively in a matrix-managed environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to define product roadmaps.
