The Senior Product Owner - Exchange and Email Security is a pivotal role within the organization, reporting directly to the Director of Messaging & Collaboration. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Exchange/Email Security infrastructure. The Senior Product Owner will collaborate closely with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the Exchange/Email Security environment. This role requires building and leveraging strong partnerships across business, technology, and product leadership to implement innovative solutions within the Exchange/Email Security technologies. As the product evangelist and subject matter expert, the Senior Product Owner will serve as the primary point of contact for timely updates to both internal and external customers. The role involves participating in an agile approach through standups, planning, and processes. Success in this position demands strong leadership and strategic skills, along with a deep understanding of the modern Exchange Online and Email Security landscape. The successful candidate will engage with the broader technology community and vendors to stay updated on industry innovations that can enhance the product offering and internal practices. In this capacity, the Senior Product Owner will lead a cross-functional agile delivery team responsible for architecting, designing, and managing the delivery of Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection (Defender), and SMTP Relay services. They will establish product roadmaps, manage risks, and conduct periodic reviews of capabilities and emerging technologies to ensure that the organization has the right platforms to support end-user experience monitoring and remote control. The role also involves collaborating with key partners and vendors to align on roadmaps, use cases, capabilities, and product offerings, while advocating for the end user by developing a deep empathy for their needs through research and feedback.
