About the position

The Product Owner for the Retail Wireless Product Catalog team at DISH is responsible for leading development integration teams to deliver innovative catalog solutions for the 5G Network. This role involves collaboration across various teams to ensure that product vision aligns with business goals, managing project timelines, and facilitating Scrum ceremonies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and experience in product ownership within the telecom industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the product's vision aligns with business goals.
• Gain buy-in from stakeholders on major decisions and strategies regarding product functionality and process.
• Plan iterations and work with the development team to identify and breakdown tasks required for iterations.
• Manage, organize, communicate, and track sprint and project releases.
• Ensure project success: on time, on budget, meeting expectations and goals.
• Consider the organization's impact of decisions regarding service interface and data modeling.
• Provide on-the-job training for product owners of other teams.
• Act as the Product Owner and Scrum Master to facilitate necessary Scrum ceremonies.
• Liaise between engineering teams and product stakeholders.
• Evangelize product vision and roadmap to gather feedback and drive transparency and alignment.
• Decompose product and service features into workable user stories.
• Prioritize and groom product backlogs for cross-functional integration teams.
• Coordinate cross-team delivery, manage dependencies, and define best practices.
• Share and evangelize work completed, product backlog, and Scrum team metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Product Owner or related roles.
• Extensive experience in enterprise product ownership in the telecom industry.
• Experience in determining and documenting requirements.
• Experience in delivering product catalog solutions.
