The Product Owner role in Cross Channel Experience serves as a voice to connect the expectations of consumers, financial representatives, and home office employees on new or existing products, apps, and channels, with a particular emphasis on CRM solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities aimed at acquiring and cross-selling new business. You will maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components that the team is responsible for, ensuring that they align with the overall product vision and strategy. Additionally, you will collaborate with Program Management to plan agile releases and sprints, acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments to effectively manage expectations, scope, schedule, and budget to ensure that targets and requirements are met. As a Product Owner, your impact will be significant. You will describe, prioritize, and communicate requirements based on internal and external customer needs, ensuring that recommended changes align with product roadmaps. You may also manage and execute long-term roadmaps to drive the overall vision and execution of products. Regular updates to all stakeholders will be part of your responsibilities, as you actively manage product development and frequently touch base with development teams and the business for sprint reviews. You will apply design thinking techniques, such as user stories, wireframing, and prototyping, to define product features effectively. Utilizing team scrum/agile development techniques and tools, you will facilitate team collaboration, product testing, issue tracking, and backlog management. You will assist in developing business cases for product enhancements, establishing the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), Minimum Marketable Features (MMF), and product improvements. Identifying and highlighting risks and issues will be crucial, as you articulate the impact of these on product delivery. You will be responsible for ordering the backlog, clearly expressing product backlog items, and prioritizing them to best achieve goals and optimize the value of the work performed by the team.
