About The Position

The Senior Program Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities for a program or portfolio of programs at a leading global bank. This contract position offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, focusing on strategic direction, stakeholder management, and program delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/University degree.
• 15+ years of program management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
• Provide strategic direction and feedback regarding initiative or program creation, alignment to business goals, and stakeholder management.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, organizations, and business heads.
• Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
• Collaborate with Senior Management on cross-functional areas and other programs as appropriate.
• Ensure program scope definition meets business objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Work with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis aligns with business goals.
• Manage the process with other departments if resources are being borrowed to complete the program.
• Communicate status, issues, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, in a timely manner.
• Identify risks impacting program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
• Manage program team, which may include matrix management of director-level, senior program manager-level, and other staff.
