About The Position

The Senior Project Leader - MES at Wabtec Corporation is responsible for leading the deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across the company's supply chain network. This role involves collaborating with various teams to drive digital transformation, standardization, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. The position requires a strategic approach to convert legacy systems to the Wabtec MES, ensuring compliance with industry standards and optimizing system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Supply Chain or IT environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or IT experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Oracle ERP experience.
  • Proven functional depth within discipline.
  • Demonstrated Project/Program Management ability.
  • Advanced finance acumen.
  • Excellent organizational integration and influencing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proven track record for meeting customer/business needs.
  • Clear thinking and strong prioritization skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification recommended.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Knowledge of global manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices related to MES.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deploy the strategy for converting legacy production control systems to the Wabtec MES.
  • Collaborate with IT on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the MES platform.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into MES specifications.
  • Manage the MES system lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain MES-related standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues.
  • Monitor MES system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest MES technologies and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Ensure MES system compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain the security and integrity of the MES system.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the MES system.
