About the position

The Senior Project Manager for M&A and Joint Ventures at NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) is responsible for sourcing and executing M&A opportunities and leading strategic Joint Venture engagements. This role involves managing the end-to-end deal execution process, including internal vetting and executive approval, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and prioritizing target acquisition and Joint Venture partnership opportunities
• Leading due diligence efforts for acquisitions and collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts
• Coordinating with legal to prepare and negotiate transaction related documents including bid letters, term sheets, letters of intent, and purchase and sale agreements
• Structuring Joint Venture partnership agreements
• Supporting the financial modeling efforts by reviewing and developing acquisition models; performing financial transaction analysis including: accretion / dilution, investment returns, credit analyses, financing, and competitor analysis
• Leading internal deal approval processes that include creating and making executive level presentations
• Collaborating with the operations team to forecast operating costs and identifying capital improvements
• Supporting efforts to make necessary regulatory filings to secure approvals
• Coordinating with a cross-functional team of internal business leaders to support integration efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or technical field highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Strong analytical skills - including expertise in Excel
• Strong communication skills - interpersonal as well as presentation
• MBA, CPA, or relevant graduate degree highly desirable
