Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead for water infrastructure projects with responsibility for providing project oversight and leadership
  • Provide technical management and leadership for projects in the Northeast, Tri-State or Mid-Atlantic region and occasionally for projects in other parts of the country and world
  • Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and within budget
  • Perform civil conveyance design for water and storm and sanitary sewer projects, from preliminary design to detailed design, bidding and construction inspection
  • Preparation and guidance of engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents
  • Preparation of proposals and technical reports as technical lead of the project team
  • Prepare technical evidenced proposals as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors or reviewing agencies
  • Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design calculations, write engineering reports, and select design criteria
  • Conduct alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for project decisions
  • Effectively apply industry standards as well as client standards and requirements
  • Work with project teams to coordinate permits for projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain licensure within one year of hire
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in water infrastructure design projects
  • Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas
  • Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger
  • Familiarity with NHDES Clean Water and Drinking Water programs
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license
