Our Software Engineers in Test are embedded alongside developers, using our latest in-house automation framework in Java to create reliable and comprehensive automation tests. Teams rely on flexible but standardized processes to ensure test coverage, feature quality, and regression checks.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation in existing tools and frameworks and extend those tools and frameworks as necessary.
- Execute both white- and black-box testing.
- Identify current testing gaps, process flaws, suggest and implement improvements to increase product quality.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables, project testing requirements, and other quality considerations.
- Minimize manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases and automating them.
- Be an integral part of an Agile Engineering team, working interactively with software engineers, testing engineers, and product managers for the full development life cycle.
- Help ensure functionality delivered in each sprint is well tested, utilizing automation wherever possible.
- Develop smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites for GUI front-end, API Services and Database backend.
- Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience working in a software development environment.
- Hands-on Experience on Cypress or Katalon Automation tool.
- Experience with performance testing (using Jmeter, K6 or similar).
- Experience using a broad range of test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, RestAssured, TestNG or similar).
- Experience in programming with one or more of the following languages - Java, JavaScript, groovy.
- Working with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL or similar).
- Strong experience with distributed source code control systems, like Git.
- Familiarity with SDLC practices of Agile (Lean, Scrum, XP or similar).
- Experience working with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins and practices like continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Great team player and collaborates well with Onshore/Offshore teams.
- Working knowledge of Linux a plus.
- Experience working with WebLogic, Spring Boot or Tomcat application server a plus.
- Experience in Healthcare domain a plus.
