About the position

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for conducting independent analysis of complex regulatory inquiries and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves auditing internal controls, providing recommendations to business areas, and tracking the implementation of solutions to mitigate risks. The analyst will serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and internal departments, ensuring effective communication and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent analysis for high-level regulatory inquiries.
• Audit internal controls to identify high-risk exposure.
• Provide recommendations to business areas and track implementation of solutions.
• Liaise with regulatory agency investigators and maintain professional relationships with regulators.
• Research and respond to inquiries from Congressional, Attorney General, and State officials.
• Review and analyze data to generate detailed responses to inquiries.
• Prepare documentation for legal actions and support legal staff in depositions and hearings.
• Review business processes to identify compliance risks and trends.
• Participate in implementation and corrective workgroups to address compliance concerns.
• Provide research and analytic support on special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of experience in a compliance or senior-level customer service role.
• Strong logic and reasoning skills to evaluate solutions and approaches to problems.
• Ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret insurance law and regulations.
